BUSINESS NEED:

Although the existing software had certain automated features, client found that the existing system was under-performing in many areas and users were dedicated to manual workforce with lots of manual entries and papers maintained.

They wanted a centralized Inventory management with Gate pass facilities and a system to prevent any financial losses due to expired medicines in nursing stations.  They were looking for a system which would give them a provision to make the lab results digitally available to the doctors in their own devices so that the delay in treatment is avoided.

BackBone could reduce their financial losses incurred due to the expired drugs by providing them reports on expiry and by triggering SMS alerts on the expiry of the batch stocks.  They were also able to track the reagents used in laboratories and operation theatres.

The request and approval methods in various modules improved their administrative efficiency.  BackBone’s Physician Desktop helped in reducing the delays in the treatment decisions as the results became digitally accessible by the doctors on their own devices once the test was completed.
